This partnership was forged in 1965 when the Holmes-Shaw Agency began offering employee benefit solutions to community banks throughout Georgia. Recently, Holmes-Shaw, as a member of and through PointeNorth Insurance Group, LLC, has expanded its product offerings to include Property & Casualty products to all GBA Member Banks.

E. Bruce Shaw, CLU, ChFC, Senior Vice President of PointeNorth Insurance Group
Bruce entered the insurance industry in 1979 as a group sales representative and entered personal production in 1982. He joined the Marion Holmes’ Agency in 1983 and became a partner in 1984. In January, 1991, when Marion Holmes retired, he became President of the Holmes-Shaw Agency which was acquired in August 2002, by Reliance Financial Corporation where he served as President of the Holmes-Shaw Agency/Reliance Insurance until June of 2014. At that time Bruce repurchased the agency from Reliance Financial Corporation.
David B. Holmes, Vice President of PointeNorth Insurance Group
David joined the Holmes-Shaw Agency in 1988. He has an extensive background in employee benefits and creating client-friendly support materials to help with successful product implementation. He is also a member of NAIFA and Insurance & Financial Leaders of Georgia. David graduated from Georgia State University and earned his CPA designation in 1983.
Roy A. (Rad) Downey, Vice President of PointeNorth Insurance Group
Rad joined the Holmes-Shaw Agency in 1996. He has done substantial work in the Long-Term Care Market and has extensive experience in employee benefits. Before joining Holmes-Shaw he worked in life insurance with John Hancock. Rad graduated from the University of Georgia in 1994.

Skip has more than 20 years of experience in the group and individual benefits industry. In 1989, he graduated from Georgia Southern University and began his career at Life of the South, and now Partners Benefit Group. Recognized as a leader in his field, Skip has acquired vast knowledge of the design, implementation and management of benefit plans for large and small employers as well as individuals. He and his staff place great emphasis on offering innovative products and terrific service.
Guy graduated from the University of Georgia in 1980 and began his career with Georgia International in Atlanta as an Employee Benefit Representative. Guy joined Life of the South in 1983 and was instrumental in the formation of the Employee Benefits Division for the agency. During his time with Life of the South, he received numerous production awards. Guy, now with Partners Benefit Group, is a registered Health Underwriter and a Charted Benefit Consultant. His specific areas of focus are comprehensive employee benefits programs, along with individual life and disability insurance.
Noel graduated from the University of Georgia in 1994 and was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. After graduation, he joined Life of the South and is now with Partners Benefit Group. He received the Outstanding New Associate award in 1995. His particular focus is with comprehensive employee benefits programs, along with individual life and disability insurance.
